You probably heard about the controversial comments California Rep. Pete Stark (D.) made on the House floor today. If you didn't, I wrote about it
HERE.On the other side of Capitol Hill in the Senate, however, there were some
big fights over pork-barrel spending.Tom Coburn was trying to reallocate money Hillary Clinton and Chuck Schumer secured for a Woodstock museum towards healthcare for pregnant women and Jim DeMint was fighting to kill Charlie Rangles "Monument to Me."
In sum, Coburn's measure won and DeMint's lost.
